Interior Design Studio Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Operations Manager with at least FIVE years of work experience to join our growing team in Miami, Florida. You should have experience in all aspects of managing an interior design studio and be able to manage multiple administrative as well as interior design projects simultaneously. This role is based in Miami, Florida. Only local candidates with relevant work experience and a US work permit will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Oversight: Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the studio. Handle administrative tasks with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Financial Management: Oversee studio finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting. Collaborate closely with accountants and financial advisors to maintain financial health.
  • Human Resources: Manage HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance evaluations, ensuring a harmonious and productive workplace.
  • Project Finances and Coordination: Monitor and manage finances specific to each project. Coordinate effectively between design teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely and on-budget project completion.
  • Office Management: Maintain an organized, inspiring office environment. Oversee supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and other office resources.
  • Contract Management: Administer contracts with clients, suppliers, and contractors. Ensure compliance and manage negotiations and modifications as required.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for clients on administrative matters. Uphold the studio’s reputation for exceptional client service and responsiveness.

Requirements & Work Experience

  • Legally able to work in the US 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial or administrative role, preferably within a design or creative environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets (formulas!)
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office) and familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, creative environment.
  • A passion for design and an understanding of the high-end, bespoke market.
